Step-by-Step Measuring Guide: Standard & Zebra Blinds

⚠️ PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING:

OPTION 1: INSIDE MOUNT (Inside the window frame)

Best for a clean, built-in look.

  1. Depth: Window depth should be at least 2.5in (6.3cm) to fit the hardware
  2. Width: Measure the top, middle, and bottom of your window opening.
  3. Take the smallest (narrowest) of the three measurements.
  4. Deduction is Key: Because our sizes are exact frame widths, you must select a size at least 1/4" to 1/2" smaller than your narrowest measurement so the frame fits inside the opening.

Example: Window is 35.75" wide? Buy a 35" blind. Do not buy 36" (it won't fit!).

OPTION 2: OUTSIDE MOUNT (On the wall/molding)

Best for blocking light gaps and total privacy.

  1. Measure the width of the window opening or molding.
  2. ADD 3 to 4 inches to the total width.

Why? This extra width covers the fabric gaps on the sides and the frame/molding.
