⚠️ PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING:
OPTION 1 : INSIDE MOUNT (For a clean, built-in look)
- The blind sits inside the window frame
- NOTE: The blind fabric is narrower than the blind frame on each side.
- Therefore, it is normal to have a slight light gap (light halo) on the sides between the fabric and the window.
- Measure the top, middle, and bottom of your window opening.
- Take the smallest (narrowest) of the three measurements.
- Deduction is Key: Because our sizes are exact frame widths, you must select a size at least 1/4" to 1/2" smaller than your narrowest measurement so the frame fits inside the opening.
Example: Window is 35.75" wide? Buy a 35" blind. Do not buy 36" (it won't fit!).
OPTION 2: OUTSIDE MOUNT (Best for complete darkness)
- The blind sits on the wall or molding above the window.
- Recommended and ideal for complete darkness
- The fabric must be wider than the window frame.
- Measure the width of the window opening.
- ADD 3 to 4 inches to the total width to cover the molding.
Why? This extra width covers the fabric gaps on the sides and the frame/molding.
