Step-by-Step Measuring Guide: Blackout Blinds

⚠️ PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING:

OPTION 1 : INSIDE MOUNT (For a clean, built-in look)

  1.  Measure the top, middle, and bottom of your window opening.
  2. Take the smallest (narrowest) of the three measurements.
  3. Deduction is Key: Because our sizes are exact frame widths, you must select a size at least 1/4" to 1/2" smaller than your narrowest measurement so the frame fits inside the opening.

Example: Window is 35.75" wide? Buy a 35" blind. Do not buy 36" (it won't fit!).

OPTION 2: OUTSIDE MOUNT (Best for complete darkness)

  1.  Measure the width of the window opening.
  2. ADD 3 to 4 inches to the total width to cover the molding.

Why? This extra width covers the fabric gaps on the sides and the frame/molding.
